The CMR Convention is an international agreement governing the contract for the international carriage of goods by road. It covers, among other things, the content of the CMR consignment note, the carrier's liability, complaint deadlines and the rules for pursuing claims. It applies to Poland-United Kingdom carriage performed by OPTIMUS TRANSPORT.
Liability limit. The limit in Art. 23(3) was amended by the Geneva Protocol of 5 July 1978 and now stands at 8.33 SDR (IMF units of account) per kilogram of gross weight short, replacing the original "25 gold francs" figure.
