This policy sets out how personal data of users of optimustransport.pl and of clients, counterparties and drivers is processed and protected. It reflects the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679), the Polish Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means and the specifics of road transport. The Polish version is legally binding; this is an informational translation.

II. Purposes and legal bases
- Provision of transport services, carriage contracts and orders, Poland–UK delivery coordination [Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR].
- Settlements and tax/accounting obligations, invoices [Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR].
- Security and pursuit of claims, legitimate interest [Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR].
- Handling enquiries from the contact form [Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR].
III. Recipients and transfers outside the EEA
Data may be shared with subcontractors (carriers), drivers, customs agencies, telematics operators and tax and customs authorities. For transport to the United Kingdom (outside the EEA), data is transferred in line with the CMR Convention and on the basis of appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
IV. Retention
- carriage documentation (CMR), until claims become time-barred;
- tax documentation, 5 years from the end of the year in which the tax payment deadline fell;
- contact-form enquiries, until the matter is handled and the legitimate interest ceases.
V. Rights of data subjects
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. You may lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
