What we carry

Food and drink

Food transport from Poland to the UK: ambient, chilled and frozen, BTOM and IPAFFS, UK FIC compliant labelling, slot deliveries to retail RDCs.

We carry food and drink from Poland to the United Kingdom: ambient, chilled and frozen products, from one pallet to full trucks. We handle IPAFFS pre-notifications according to BTOM risk categories, keep the cold chain with temperature logging, and in Milton Keynes we label goods to UK rules and deliver to retail slots.

What exactly we carry

  • ambient and packaged food: preserves, confectionery, soft drinks
  • chilled and frozen products in temperature-controlled transport
  • Polish food for Polish shops across the UK
  • retail goods with slot deliveries to RDC distribution centres
  • raw materials and semi-finished goods for food plants

How we carry and secure it

Ambient products travel in consolidated trucks on wrapped pallets, and sensitive goods in reefers with temperature logging along the whole route; see our refrigerated transport service. Pallets are stacked only within packaging strength, and separators are used for loose and glass goods. Vehicles and the warehouse work to a food-grade regime.

Documents and procedures

Food imports into Great Britain follow the BTOM border model: the product's risk category decides the IPAFFS pre-notification, certificates and possible checks at the border control post. We prepare the filings together with the export declaration, the UK import entry and the GMR. Labels must meet the UK food information rules (UK FIC), including the address of the UK food business operator (FBO). Current as of August 2026; official sources below.

Milton Keynes warehouse for this group: the strong point of this lane

In Milton Keynes we run a multi-temperature, food-grade warehouse: quality control of incoming batches, quarantine and release, repacking and labelling to UK requirements, including FIC labels for retail chains. From there we run slot deliveries to retail RDCs with booking-in and POD documents. If a chain rejects a delivery, the goods return to the warehouse instead of sitting on the truck, and we arrange a new booking.

The cold chain in practice

Sensitive goods get a set temperature range for the whole route: from loading, through the crossing, to unloading. The logger records continuously, and the printout joins the delivery documents at the consignee's request. On combined deliveries we match the ranges, and goods with different requirements travel in separate compartments or separate vehicles. Any temperature deviation is reported immediately, with the logger data, not after the fact.

Polish shops and British chains

We serve both scales: weekly deliveries to Polish shops from one pallet, and slot deliveries to the head depots and RDCs of the big chains. The first model needs flexibility and a regular driver, the second needs booking and POD discipline. In both, the Milton Keynes warehouse works as the buffer and the labelling base.

Frequently asked questions

What documents are needed to ship food to the UK?
Beyond the invoice and packing list, the BTOM risk category matters: it decides the IPAFFS pre-notification, possible certificates and border checks. We prepare the filings together with customs and the GMR. Current as of August 2026.
Do you carry food that needs refrigeration?
Yes, chilled and frozen products travel in reefers with temperature logging along the whole route, and our Milton Keynes warehouse has multi-temperature zones: ambient, chilled and frozen. On request we document the cold chain with the logger printout.
Will you help with food labels for the UK market?
Yes, in Milton Keynes we label goods to the UK food information rules (UK FIC), including the address of the UK food business operator (FBO). The label content is approved by the producer; we do the repacking and batch labelling before retail delivery.
Do you deliver food to retail chain slots and RDCs?
Yes, we run slot deliveries to retail distribution centres: booking-in, pallet requirements, POD documents. If a delivery is rejected, the goods return to our Milton Keynes warehouse and go out on a new booking instead of sitting on the truck.
