We carry metal products from Poland to the United Kingdom and Ireland: castings, steel structures, tubes, profiles, sheets and architectural metalwork, from one pallet to full truckloads. On the return leg we handle imports of metals from the UK into the EU together with the documentation the importer needs for CBAM. Lashing follows the EN 12195 standard.
What exactly we carry
- iron, steel and aluminium castings, raw and machined
- steel structures: halls, canopies, gantries and platforms
- tubes, profiles and sections, including long bundles
- sheets and coils
- balustrades, staircases, gates and architectural metalwork
- components for the rail industry: rolling stock and infrastructure parts
- ship equipment and shipyard deliveries
- aluminium products: profiles, forgings, machined parts
How we carry and secure it
Metal is heavy in a small footprint, so axle-load distribution and lashing decide everything. We plan the load so the truck passes any weighbridge check, and every bundle and pallet is lashed to EN 12195 with edge protectors and separators between layers. Long bundles travel in curtainsiders with reinforced curtains.
Documents, procedures and CBAM
For exports to the UK we prepare the export declaration, the UK import entry and the GMR; for the quote we need weights and commodity codes, which can be checked in the HMRC trade tariff. The return direction is a separate topic: since 1 January 2026 the EU CBAM definitive regime applies and covers, among others, imports of steel and aluminium from the United Kingdom into the EU. Settling CBAM is the importer's obligation, but we collect the origin and emissions data from the UK supplier, without which the filing cannot be completed. Current as of August 2026; see the official sources below.
Milton Keynes warehouse for this group
In Milton Keynes we receive batches of metal products for consolidation, repack packaging damaged in transit and prepare deliveries to construction sites and plants across the UK. For imports from the UK the warehouse works as a collection point for goods from several suppliers before one transport to Poland.
Weight, axles and UK roadside checks
With metals the most common problem is not damage but overloaded axles. The declared weight has to match reality, because DVSA roadside checks weigh vehicles and can hold an overloaded unit until it is repacked. That is why we ask for real weights before quoting and plan the axle distribution before the truck arrives for loading. With mixed batches, for example castings plus light metalwork, we build the load plan so the heavy pieces sit over the axles.
Importing metals from the UK into the EU in practice
Buying castings, profiles or used structures in England? We collect the goods from the mill, warehouse or dismantling site, prepare the UK export and the EU import, and gather from the UK supplier the data needed for CBAM: origin, masses and emissions values where available. The goods can travel directly to Poland or via consolidation in Milton Keynes when there are several batches.
