How do we carry ceramics and fragile goods?
In layers and with no empty space. Tableware and sanitary ceramics travel in partitioned cartons, on pallets banded and wrapped so nothing works loose on rough roads; the heaviest cartons always at the bottom, and fragile pallets never under other cargo. Tiles and technical ceramics are the opposite problem, dense and heavy: pallet strength and weight distribution in the vehicle decide everything. Both ways the same rule applies: good packing is agreed before loading, not on the ramp. What do we carry to Staffordshire beyond ceramics?
The county has a second, less famous profile: logistics and drinks. Burton upon Trent is the historic capital of British brewing, with breweries and vast drinks warehouses; deliveries there mean heavy pallets, often against distribution warehouse slots. Warehouse parks serving middle England have grown along the M6 and A50, and Stafford and Cannock add industrial production and construction. From Poland the flow includes components, packaging, fit-out and trade goods.
What do the route and delivery look like?
From the Channel crossing the truck runs up the M25 and M40 or the M1, then north on the M6; Stoke-on-Trent sits between junctions 15 and 16. Single pallets travel as groupage LTL through our Milton Keynes warehouse, full sets by FTL vehicle straight to the unloading point, and urgent shipments up to 2.5 t by express van. Sanitaryware, basins and bowls, combines fragility with mass and irregular shape: it travels in factory crates or on pallets with collars, always in a single layer. Technical ceramics and tiles are pure mass: pallets of several hundred kilograms, where the vehicle's floor rating and weight distribution matter most.
