Returns from Ireland to Poland and backloads

How we organise carriage from the Republic of Ireland to Poland and backloads to avoid empty runs.

Ireland–Poland carriage is intra-EU transport, because both countries are in the EU, so there is no customs clearance between them. When the return route runs through Great Britain, we use T2 transit or a T2L proof of Union status. We actively source backloads to cut empty runs and lower the cost.

How the return works

  • IE→PL carriage is intra-EU, with no duties between EU states.
  • A route through GB means T2 transit or T2L/T2LF status for Union goods.
  • We pair loads in both directions to avoid empty runs.
A backload is cargo picked up on the return leg, so the truck does not travel empty and the cost is spread across both directions.

We plan round-trip routes. See destinations and services. General information, not legal advice.
