Regulation (EC) No 561/2006 governs drivers driving time, breaks and rest. Daily driving time is 9 hours, and may be extended to 10 hours twice a week. After 4.5 hours of driving a 45 minute break is required. This effectively sets the transit time on the Poland-UK route.
Key limits
- Daily driving time of 9 h, up to 10 h twice a week.
- A 45 minute break after 4.5 h of driving, which may be split into 15 and 30 min.
