ADR in groupage (LTL), when it is possible

When ADR dangerous goods can be consolidated in groupage, how the mixed loading rules work, and what about marking and the transport document.

ADR in groupage (LTL) is possible when the dangerous goods may travel with other cargo under the mixed loading rules of the ADR Agreement. Some classes and entries cannot ride side by side, so we assess each consolidation individually, taking care of package marking and a correct transport document.

What we weigh up

  • Mixed loading rules, that is which goods may share one truck.
  • Marking of individual packages and hazard labels.
  • An ADR transport document describing every dangerous entry.
  • Quantities and any exemptions that change the conditions of carriage.
Mixed loading is the set of ADR rules determining which dangerous goods may be carried together and which must be kept apart.

This is general information, not legal advice, with no ready compatibility tables. Send the goods data and we will check the consolidation. See services and warehousing.
